Xcel Team Coach

Recreational Coach

Preschool/Level 1/Level 2 Coach

​

Essential Duties:

Provide detailed gymnastics instruction to a wide array of ages, skill levels and backgrounds.

Motivate athletes through encouraging communication.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with athletes and their families.

Follow USAG, SafeSport and organizational policies to ensure adherence to regulations and prioritize athlete safety.

Properly use spotting techniques.

Use care and use principles to organize, clean and maintain facilities/equipment.

Attend staff meetings and regularly scheduled training as required.

Record and file attendance, progress reports and other documents as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Strong communication and active listening skills

Desire to empower and motivate through sport

Participation or familiarization with the sport and its principles

Ability to pass USAG necessary exams and background check

Physically able to spot and be active for shifts ranging from 1.5-4.5 hours

Ability to handle and adjust equipment

(Xcel Coaches Only):

Experience coaching competitive athletes OR 3 years competition experience
