Sports Performance Training

 

Starting 2021, Evergreen is spreading its small group, detailed coaching to athletes beyond the gymnastics world. In our newly furnished strength and conditioning room, our coaches can now provide instruction on movement fundamentals, injury prevention, resistance training form, and overall sports relevant training. Regardless if your sport is in a field, on the ice, on the court, or beyond, Evergreen Sports Performance is here to empower your athletes to compete and succeed no matter their goals or training age!

A B C's Class

(Agility, Balance, and Coordination)

 

A class for new athletes looking to gain a foundation in movement and athletic training. Here your athlete will be introduced to the fundamentals of properly moving through space. A variety of tools such as ladders, hurdles, cones, and bands will be used to safely introduce the basics of mobility, stability, dynamic motor control, and position.

 

Ages 8-16. Please call to sign up; availability is first come first serve.

Tuesdays | 8-9 P.M.

Saturdays | 9-10 A.M.

Sports Agility

The next step for the novice athlete, Sports Agility will focus on more advanced progressions/regressions. Introductions will be made to concepts and equipment facilitating higher intensities, such as sleds, kettlebells, and other means of external resistance. Due to increased volume compared to the ABCs, ages 11-16 recommended. Younger athletes with a foundation training in the ABCs class can be permitted based on focus , concentration, and maturity evaluated by the coach.

Small Group (1-4) Strength and Conditioning

 

For individualized needs in sport, Small Group Training is the most in depth and focused manner of developing your athlete. Each athlete is assessed for their personal movement strengths and limitations, and given an individualized program directly correlating not only on their physical requirements, but their personal goals in sports and/or overall fitness. If training with a partner or group each athlete will be given the same level of detail within the same session, which is why at Evergreen we set a cap on group size to 4. Proper form and mechanics within major compound and explosive movements such as the squat, deadlift, and bench press will be reinforced and used to create a baseline athletic foundation that will translate directly to the field or court.

 

Ages 12+. All sports and genders welcome and can be trained side by side. Please call to sign up; availability is first come first serve.

Monday - Friday | 6:15-7:30 A.M.

Monday - Thursday - Friday | 8-9:15 P.M.

Saturdays | 7:45-9 A.M.
